Our Senior Concierge Services Will Lighten Your Load
National Grandparents Day began in 1970 as a day to honor grandparents. In 1978, President Jimmy Carter declared the first Sunday after Labor Day to be National Grandparents Day. It is a day were we are encouraged to connect with the grandparents in our lives-our own, or others we may be close to in the community. There are many organizations that coordinate activities to around Grandparents day, but most grandparents don’t care what activity they do-they just want to spend time with their families, especially their grandchildren.
Why is this day important to us?
Task Complete has an entire aspect of our business just for seniors, many of whom are grandparents. Task Complete grew from helping seniors and their families as it was one of the first, and most requested, service we started this company with. We help seniors because their families may not have the time in their day-to-day lives to help as much as they want, and when they have the time to spend with the elders in their life, they would rather spend that time visiting, attending a family function, playing games or sharing stories instead of food shopping, tidying up the home, or organizing paperwork.
Senior Concierge Services Are Unique
While personal concierge businesses are popping up all over the country, there are still relatively few who focus on seniors. (Funny, according to the New York Times, it’s the Baby Boomers who are growing this segment of our industry!) You would think between family and home-health agencies, seniors didn’t need our type of services, but they do. Task Complete is that bridge between family caregivers who are often far away from the seniors or still very busy raising their own children and managing homes and careers. In fact, in a 2011 AARP study, one-third of caregivers described their responsibilities as “highly stressful.”
Why the Need the for Senior Concierge Services?
According to http://www.seniorcare.com/, nearly 10,000 baby boomers will turn 65 each DAY over the next 15 years!!
